As a member of the global IT organization the Regional SAP Application support Analyst for Asia responsibilities include the following:
? Interface with global IT management and regional business management to identify and develop tactical plans to meet business needs.
? Align local Information Technology plans with Gerber Scientific global & regional strategy and direction.
? Provide support to APAC teams and resolve or escalate for additional help to US business analysts
? Should have good SAP background and should have an understanding of SD, MM business processes beside a good skill with ABAP programming language
? Should be able to troubleshoot, analyze and collaborate with BPC’s and local SAP users along with good inter & intra personal communication skills, planning skills
? Develop & manage projects locally and globally and implement robust solutions to meet business requirements, on time and within budget.
? Should manage workflow and legacy applications implemented/managed locally
? Monitor Information Technology resources operations, support services, and operate within defined budget.
? Manage vendor relationships for software, and support services.
? Participate in developing and ensure compliance with global IT standard operating procedures.
? Keep abreast of Information Technology trends, understand SAP, legacy apps (in use) and recommend appropriate business solutions as required
? International travel is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
? Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience
? SAP implementation/upgrade, production support Experience
? Experience in ABAP/4 and a good knowledge of SD, MM processes will be a huge advantage
? Solid understanding of software development cycle, change management
? Knowledge of SAP CRM will be a plus
? Good understanding of client and server architecture and operating systems
? Previous experience working in an international organization, working knowledge and exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) systems are desirable.
? Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
? Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
? Relays relevant IT-related information to IT management and/or the company in a timely manner
? Able to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
? Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
? Assists manager in the planning and preparation of the regional budget
? Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices
? Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
Client Management
? Manages day-to-day internal client interaction, setting and managing internal client expectations
? Communicates effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
? Continually seeks opportunities to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science or other relevant field required.
