Description
Participants can expect exposure to different areas of a food and beverage venue in Shanghai. The ideal candidates for this position should show great social skills, event coordination, and business operation. The candidate will work at one of our stores in Shanghai on a 40 hours per week schedule. Shifts may be day or evening shifts.
Requirements
Excellent customer skills and able to work flexible schedule including rotating shifts. Pleasant and helpful personality. Must adhere to our appearance guidelines, and to be currently enrolled in a hospitality program in a college or university. English proficiency is a must.
Detailed job description:
1. Manage store operations on a daily level.
2. Contributes toward store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales, manage inventory, and cost of goods control and labor costs.
3. Maintains daily, weekly and period financial reports.
4. Ensures all cash handling and cash register function are performed in an accurate and consistent manner.
5. Maintains final accountability for the store operations, partner development and financial contribution.
6. Ensures the proper types and amounts of materials, supplies and merchandise are sourced, ordered and stocked. Effectively communicates new product information to partners.
On top of these, we expect the store manager to develop the store staff:
1. Hires, trains and develops staff to demonstrate all our brand customer service standards, operating standards.
2. Expects and encourages full participation of staff in creating goals and developing plans.
3. Determines daily and weekly staffing requirements, recruits, conducts interviews, makes hiring and termination decisions, schedules and apportions partner work hours, and schedules staff time off.
4. Resolves partner complaints and concerns, provides ongoing performance feedback, conducts formal performance and salary reviews and counsels staff when necessary.
Furthermore, we expect from the manager that he/she:
1. Ensures all company policies, store standards and procedures are communicated effectively to partners and maintained and followed in a consistent manner. Follows all guidelines outlined in the Policy and Procedures Manual to create and maintain the safest environment for our partners and customers.
2. Organizes work throughout the store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service and profitable operation.
3. Provides the brand “Service Experience” consistently for all our customers.
4. Ensures store appearance and equipment area maintained in a consistent manner.
5. Maintains consistent speed of service to the customer by ensuring all store staffing requirements.
Training and Education Requirements:
- High school graduates
- 3 years at a equivalent position in a similar concept store (Starbucks, Costa, Coffee Bean, Enoterra,…), with success track are vital
- Good English level
Qualities:

- A good communicator, and
- IT literate.
