If you are familiar with GNSS reference stations, real time networks like VRS networks, monitoring applications with GNSS as well as with terrestrial methods and you are looking for a position in an international environment with a diversity of projects we can offer you a challenging and interesting position as a Support Engineer for our Infrastructure portfolio.

The Support Engineer works closely with our customer base all over China and provides front line telephone and email support to the different real-time network operators and monitoring projects using telephone and email. The position will also include visits on site for system installations, training delivery and the development of training materials for Infrastructure products for our customers and internal colleagues. The role will be generally office-based but there will be a significant amount of travel mainly within China.

A close working relationship with customers and colleagues worldwide, different development teams and product management is also a main part of the job to identify and provide solutions for our customers. For this reason we need someone with fluent knowledge in Chinese and English.

Position requirements:

• Technical education/University degree in Geodesy and/or Surveying
• High-level knowledge of geodesy and GNSS systems and land survey
• Working knowledge of computer networks and network communication
• Absolutely necessary is the ability to communicate in Chinese and English at a high technical level and have written skills in the same languages - knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.
• Monitoring expertise
• Previous working experience as a surveyor and in IT related fields is desirable; previous experience using Trimble products desirable
• Ability to travel often at short notice
