OVERALL PURPOSE:
The Product Manager (Standard Bearings) is responsible for product definition, Product roadmap, competitor
analysis, sales channel development, marketing BNL Standard bearing product line. Product manager should have
strong understanding of the current product portfolio and trend going forwards in terms of material, product
range, application etc.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Develop and implement effective product and marketing strategies and product development roadmaps to increase market share and grow into new markets/customers.
2. Taking regular market study on market trend, product performance, etc, refine and improve BNL product range based on the finding of survey & analysis.
3. New product development to drive business initial & target achieve.
4. Monitor competitor’s marketing strategy & activities, and make corresponding Proposal to fight against competitor.
5. Be responsible for BNL standard product sales targets achieve.
6. Demonstrate technology competence, market application knowledge, marketing leadership.
7. Maintain an active focus and interface with market "drivers" (applications and end user needs) staying on top of trends that will result in a continuous proactive market plan.
8. Sales channel development and end user customer maintenance and development.
9. Classic internal sales role – preparing quotes, answering tech queries, providing customer service
10. Lead new product development process. Coordinate with cross functional New Product Development team and ensure product launch.
11. Develop and implement marketing activities, including product positioning, marketing materials, pricing, promotion, user manual, web site content, application story etc.
12. Manage the development and implementation of marketing communication programs supporting the marketing strategy for the product line. These programs include, but are not limited to, media advertisements, press release, and trade shows, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Industrial product management experience, ideally have good technical background of bearings, plastic material and application.
2.Engineering or Business Degree from a recognized educational institution
3.Must have an Industrial sales and marketing background
4.Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills in English, and Mandarin Experience in developing marketing/business strategies, plans and programs
5.Product development, project management, business case development, and cross functional interactions.
6.Well-developed strategic thinking, problem solving, decision-making skills with an ability to analyze concepts and lead implications
7.Proactive work style: takes initiative to improve products, proactively communicates with teams, follows up on issues, and brings deliverables to completion
8.Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills
9.Demonstrated success in defining and launching industrial products
