Primary Purpose: This role is responsible for the procurement & expediting delivery of equipment & materials to the construction site & that all procedures are undertaken according to company policy. |
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION |
Assist in the production of all commercial documentation for the compilation and issue of all tender, request for tender, and pricing documentation for all subcontracts Co-ordinate and participate in the technical and commercial evaluation and recommendation of received tenders and quotes and the award of subcontracts Assist in the administration of all subcontracts in accordance with the terms and conditions Co-ordinate and expedite supply and subcontractor deliverables including inspection and auditing Expedite resolution of technical queries from subcontractors Assist in establishing project control channels of communication and information flow Monitor and report to the Manager Procurement, internally driven changes to the scope of works for all contract packages within a project Monitor and report to the Manager Procurement, procurement activities progress and program and implement corrective action as required Contribution to budget monitoring including ensuring that Client invoicing is submitted in a timely manner Ensure sub-contractor payments are processed in accordance with the contract conditions Ensure that internal processes are followed including document management control systems Schedule Contribute the monitoring of procurement progress and assist with implementing corrective action as required including providing updates of the project schedule Handover from Design Involvement in the coordination between Engineering and Project Procurement to ensure procurement activities are started as early as possible Awareness of the handover from Engineering to Project Delivery to start Construction activities
Participating in Kick-off meetings with the internal project team(s) and the Client as required Other Office and Site based meetings as required Contribution to providing timely and accurate project and financial reporting
Contribute to the effective and fair management of Suppliers and Sub-Contractors Involvement in the resolution of technical queries from Sub-Contractors |
