Objective of the Position：

To lead and manage Coated R&D teams, and the activities of R&D projects and technical support. Act as a cordinator between manufacturing and Product/Sales team bringing in innovative new products and/or processes.

Principal Accountabilities：

1. Customer Interaction & Competitive Intelligence : visit various customers to understand customer requirements within asia & meanwhile access competitive landscape. Based on the information collected, to define value-added R&D projects in either products or process areas that supports Coated Abrasives business growth in Asia

2. Develop solid technology base in Asia for Coated SOA by collaborating with sister R&D centers for technology transfer and new product development.

3. Provide timely and high quality technical support to local business (product, process, application, sales…)

4. Technology Management : report, documentation, investigation, strategic technology mapping …

5. Department Daily Management & Team Growth : PAR, budget, training, travel, hiring, leave…

6.Set up appropriate sample analysis capability and simulation testing capability in SGRS, by working with TSS especially CGTC.

7. Track the IP evolution of key competitors, as a reference of our technology development strategy

8.Strictly follow company EHS & 5S policy. Integrate EHS good practices into all activities. When go to other plants, make sure receive EHS training firstly and strictly follow their EHS rules.

Requirements:

1. Min. Master Degree, major in Polymer Material and Engineering Program.

2. Min. 3 to 7 years in the above mentioned fields. (Phd - 3 Years; Masters - 5 to 7 Years)
