Position: Junior Graphic Designer (Intern) / Web graphic content developer

Job Description:

JGD develops basic graphic designs and prepare their nececssary format digital files for;

·Presentations

·Printed material

·Web content

·Brand visual identity items (example : logo, package, business cards)

Major Areas of Responsibility:

·Understanding briefs and job/project statements

·Development of creative graphic designs

·Harmonic color palettes development

·Preparing the required format files for the projects

·Keeping a very efficient archive of all jobs done or created

·Preparing web graphic elements in line with visual identity system

Primary Objectives:

·Enhances strategic input of Curovia with impactful graphic designs

·Manages helpful and result oriented communication with all other departments

Specific Responsibilities:

A.Understanding briefs and job/project statements

·Analyze the briefs and understand the objectives of the graphic project

·Collects all necessary data and information at the starting of the project

·Prepares and executes an efficient timetable

B.Development of creative graphic designs

·Works on alternative graphic drawings, objects, icons etc that is needed in the project

·Presents drafts to Creative Director and gets approval

·Then improves and finalize the final artworks and color codes

·If the approved job may have possible improvements and renovations, he is obliged to propose and inform the Creative Director

C.Harmonic color palettes development

·Selects, tries and proposes main color combinations

·Finalize main color rules and palettes info for the projects

D.Preparing the required format files for the projects

·After the approval, prepares the master artwork files

·Checks the format type and resolution info for each element

·Does the master files, creates accompanying file info document

E.Keeping a very efficient archive of all jobs done or created

·When project is accomplished, gives archive numbers and keep the files in hard disks and reserve back up harddisks.

·If necesssary, supplies the original master formats to the project clients

F.Preparing web graphic elements in line with visual identity system

·Since JGD prepares graphic web content for Curovia and project owners, should prepare the artwork in line with the visual identity systems of clients or Curovia.

·Checks color safety of materials for printing, digital usage or web.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·Good talent for graphic design creativity (not experience)

·Excellent skills in:Adobe Creative Suit usage / Web files color management

·General knowledge of:Web, Design and Printing process / Photography

·Specific Skills: Able to communicate and motivate via written media. Understands the principles of designing and online design.

·Computer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, and Powerpoint. Follower of new technology and software developments that are related to his job.

·Management Ability: Responsibility and opportunity could grow with the development of the business.

Educational and Experience Requirement

A degree or equivalent experience in Design Arts

Years of experience: Not necessary but gives advantage

Specialized training in: Adobe Illustrator

Personal Attribute:

Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality on his projects. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior big company executives.

Reliable, tolerant, and determined.

Compnay Background:

The ICSME is a consulting firm specialized in business support, providing the solutions for foreign enterprises in the market entry and expansion phase in China. The team is a mix of Chinese and foreign colleagues, managing generic services and multiple projects in different industries. CUROVIA, the Marketing-Branding-Advertising consultancy department of ICSME, provides accountable support on these areas, for both foreign firms and local enterprises.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the JGD is heavily uses computer and related other devices. Report to Creative Director(Helps other client relationship staff in case of daily needs). The contract condition and probation period shall be arranged according to Chinese regulation.

具体职责

A.清楚工作摘要和项目内容

·分析工作摘要并清楚地了解图形项目的目标

·在项目初期搜集必要的数据和信息

·计划并实行高效的时间安排

B.创新的图形设计开发

·设计可供选择的项目要求的平面图纸，物件，图标等

·向艺术总监陈述创意草稿并获得批准

·改进并且最终确定作品和颜色代码

·若已经获批的工作需要进一步的修改或者改进，需向艺术总监报告

C.和谐的颜色调色开发

·选择，试验并提出建议的主颜色组合

·最终确定项目的主要颜色规则和调色信息

D.按照项目要求的形式准备好材料

·获得批准之后，着手准备艺术作品项目文件

·检查每一处细节的格式类型和具体信息

·制作主文件以及其他的项目必要文件

E.高效率地为已完成工作建档

·当一个项目完成后，为该项目建档编号并且保存备份在硬盘中

·必要的话， 提供原始工作档案给项目客户

F.准备与视觉形象系统一致的网页图形设计

·由于图形设计师为CUROVIA和项目所有者设计网页形象，所有设计作品应当与客户或者CUROVIA的视觉标识系统相符

·检查实体印刷，数字化应用以及网页应用的颜色安全性

个人知识，技巧和能力要求

·具有图形设计创造性天赋（工作经验非必要条件）

·在以下方面有卓越的技能：Adobe Creative Suit usage/ Web files color management

·个人技能：能够通过书面媒体有效的沟通，清楚了解设计以及网页设计的原则

·电脑技能要求： 必须擅长使用MS Office 2000或者更新版本，特别是Excel, Word和Powerpoint。 对与工作相关的软件开发和新科技更新有着兴趣和热情。

·管理技能要求： 责任和机遇会随着公司的成长而增加

教育背景和工作经验要求

艺术设计学位或者相关的工作经验

工作经验要求：无具体要求，有经验者优先

需接受过Adobe Illustrator 培训
