Responsibilities:

l Understand local regulatory environment and business culture to assist the Treasury Director with developing processes and policies to enhance treasury control in the region, and centralize treasury functions to the RHQ level.

l Provide onsite consultation and training to local finance and plant teams in the region (present operations located in China, India, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam).

l Work directly with the regional and local finance staff to understand the funding needs of the businesses/entities, perform analysis of cash flow forecasts, make and implement financing & dividend recommendations for the entities to optimize the financing structure.

l Work closely with the local finance teams to determine operational banking needs and rationalize the bank accounts in the region. Maintain banking relationships with preferred international financial institutions in the region, and if needed, local financial institutions.

l Coordinate, validate, and communicate foreign exchange exposure forecasts for each of the businesses in the region. Work proactively with local finance staff to identify new risks introduced to the company by new programs/business.

l Assist APO Treasury Director to manage a centralized treasury centre in the region, and support all other treasury projects and related tasks that might arise from time to time.

l Work closely with the local finance teams to understand their operations, improve cash flow forecasting accuracy and provide creative and efficient treasury solutions to operations

Requirements:

l Highly motivated finance professional with proven track record in an Asian office of a top-tier U.S. or Europe based multinational corporation or in an international bank with significant experience handling the finance requirements of a top-tier multi-national corporation. Strongly prefer individual experienced in working with companies with operations in China, India and Thailand.

l Experience establishing and/or maintaining processes and controls for companies with operations throughout Asia.

l Business degree in finance/accounting; MBA preferred, CFA/CPA or equivalent.

l Progressive experience in finance/accounting; preference for direct treasury experience (minimum 8 years) in the region (including India, Korea, Thailand and China).

l Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout region to provide necessary Treasury support and onsite training for operational finance teams.

l Written and oral fluency in English; strong communications ability through either spoken or written mediums in both languages.

l Strong familiarity (throughout Asia Pacific region) with local finance markets, regulations, laws, and customs as applied to financing and bank negotiations.

l Strong, proven analytical abilities and demonstrated ability to use excel/other financial tools to construct models for decision making and solve financial problems systematically.

l Ability to contribute and thrive in a global team-oriented environment as well as operate independently to identify treasury issues and needs, research, recommend and implement the details of various financial solutions.

l Individual with professional demeanour who operates under highest standards of ethical conduct.

l Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project).
