Scope:
Business Development Manager will leverage buyer aligned selling to directly pursue opportunities. The
Business Development Manager will work closely with TMC Global Sales Team based in NA and Europe, Asia
leadership team and the C.H. Robinson branch network to identify, pursue and close Managed TMS, LLP, SaaS
and Consulting opportunities. Key competencies and areas of accountability include: direct business
development, account management, and network team building – while contributing to a positive, healthy and
efficient work environment. Significant travel will be a part of this role.
Accountabilities:
Direct Business Development
o Lead Sales & Marketing activities for TMC in China, East Asia, and Southeast Asia
Sales Support
o Active role in the Global TMC sales team
o Work closely with C.H. Robinson Corporate Sales Team on all continents
Network Team Building:
o Leverage Corporate Sales Directors for mentoring
o Build strong connections within the Asia Branch Network and foster strategic communication
o Develop partnerships with C.H. Robinson branch network to help identify and develop opportunities
Lead generation, prospecting, market research
o Experience in managing sales process
o Pricing new business
Profile of competencies and skills:
3-5+ years transportation sales experience preferred
High level of Buyer Aligned Sales Skills
Established collaborative relationships with other C.H. Robinson branches
Experience with complex RFP/RFI processes
Exceptional presentation skills
Basic understanding of growth and efficiency metrics
Actively listens and discusses freely. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responds well to coaching and development
Basic competence in MS Suite, including MS Excel and analysis
Degree level and/or equivalent experience
Deal pricing experience
