Position Summary:
The Sales Analyst/marketing Analyst has main duties to work and support the Asia Pacific Field Sales team by managing all aspects of sales data system, sales and marketing data and information, and generate associated sales and marketing analysis reports. This position will also encompass sales and marketing data collection, and make recommendations to maximize sales and profitability goals for the sales department. Other responsibilities include sales performance analysis, targeted customer prioritizing; channel sales analysis, market and segmentation analysis. Actively supports the corporation's Win Strategy. Will also be required to support and work with senior management from across the entire organization.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Assumes an individual contributor role in the field sales department to gather, analyze sales and market related data. The individual will interact with field sales force and internal sales representative department, supply chain, finance, and other functional department of production in Asia Pacific; also will coordinate with global sales organization in the US and EU. Proactively work with all division management and related support departments to ensure on-time internal customer needs are met or exceeded. Reports to the Director of Sales, Asia Pacific.
Essential Functions:
n Prepare sales/orders, trend, and ad hoc reports for management on weekly or monthly basis
n Update, analyze and report market and competitive landscape conditions.
n Researches and evaluates current economic conditions that may affect the organization's ability to sell its products or services in the marketplace.
n Help monitor and advise status of TCP planning for sales
n With management, develop and maintain annual sales forecasts for new and existing products.
n Track Asia Pacific sales generated from territory and key accounts against plan, on weekly and monthly basis; work with internal sales to highlight corrective action plan for any short-fall in sales.
n Recommends changes to current sales techniques/tools, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends.
n Coordinate key regional and global events e.g. BB, Sales and Growth Meeting, Market Driven meetings
n Assist on the publication of periodical market, economic and competitive updates – including internal / external data that is understandable, accurate, timely, relevant and reliable.
n Provide timely feedback to Management on the sales status through distribution channels
n Responsible for gathering, interpreting and disseminating market data provided by Territory Managers and company marketing programs
n Keeps management and territory managers aware of changes which would affect the product sale
n Support sales team with meeting and travel arrangement, and ensure in-sync with TCP or other plans
Qualifications:
n 4 years College degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
n 2-5 years’ related experience in sales operations; industrial product sales a plus
n 1-2 years of experience in analyzing sales from territory, key accounts and/or distribution
n Working experience in integrated marketing and understand general Marketing tactics.
n Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
n Possess strong analytical and numerical skills
n Proficient in Mandarin Chinese and fluent in spoken and written English
n Ability to work well under pressure, handling several deadline projects simultaneously
n Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
