职位描述
The primary responsibility of the Head of Sole Proprietor (Organic) Merchant role is to identify new opportunities to drive profitable growth of PayPal China's Sole Proprietor (Organic) revenue base. This position will require a good understanding of the industry, market and consumer trends; developing a detailed strategic growth plan and implementing the plan through integrating best practice and processes into the business.
The Head of Sole Proprietor will be a key member of the leadership team of PayPal China Cross Border business and be involved with Asia Pacific Region Merchant Services initiatives. The individual will report to the General Manager, PayPal China Cross Border Business.
Requirements :
- Develop a clear, compelling and innovative expansion plan for the Sole Proprietor business which is likely to target growth in both traditional and non-traditional Merchant base and is consistent with PayPal's premium position in the market. The individual will need to have a good understanding of market and industry trends.
- Drive growth of PayPal's Sole proprietor business to support plan and budget commitments.
- Align resources, systems and processes to support the achievement of the plan.
- Influence the various supporting teams (Marketing, Risk, Ops, Finance etc) to help co-deliver the results
Plan & Strategy Development - Develop and maintain the growth plan for the China Sole Proprietor business that leverages PayPal's advantages in the marketplace and is broadly supported by:
- Leveraging insightful knowledge about the market in general and customers, competitors and the regulatory environment, in particular.
- Collaborating to unlock knowledge and experiences from partners and international colleagues.
- Ensuring that the plan is consistent with the overall corporate strategy.
- Communicating clear and compelling business development priorities.
- Garnering cross-functional resources to enable the execution of the plan.
Selling & Relationship Management - Develop relationships that create value for new and existing Sole Proprietor Merchants to justify PayPal's price premium and create value by:
- Developing deep understanding of clients' businesses and innovative and unique solutions that create "win-win" situations.
- Maintaining a good understanding of the external environment to anticipate future client needs.
- Remaining diligently and relentlessly focused on delivering the planned results, including closely monitoring performance and implementing timely, effective corrective actions when necessary.
- Opening new doors, corridors, verticals and other opportunities
- Implementing best practice marketing, selling and account management systems and processes.
- Being hands-on and responsive to client needs.
Team Leadership - While at the start, this position may not have direct reports, the incumbent should ideally have some prior team leadership experiences(3-5 years???
EDUCATION
Successful completion of a university Bachelor's degree is required; post graduate credentials are highly preferred.
