1. KEY RESPPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Engineer reports to China region Quality Manager, and has the following primary responsibilities for Modine China region Quality Management System maintenance and improvement:

· Work with global quality team to understand Modine Global QMS and keep update.

· Work with Modine China plants and different function teams of Shanghai Office to develop and standardize quality management practice.

· Keep Modine China employee with QMS education.

· Lead Modine China region quality internal audit, track the corrective and preventive action.

· Support China Region Quality Manager to realize the short term and long term quality goals

· Support China Region Quality Manager to administrate routine quality activities, for instance, monthly quality report, monthly quality conference, annual Management Review

The incumbent will have the following specific responsibilities:

· Facilitate annual LRQA quality system audit.

· Facilitate and track annual Management Review of Shanghai Office.

· Support Modine China quality management process standardization and development.

· Work with plants’ (MTSS and MTSC) quality team to develop Internal Audit plan and keep implementation.

· Track corrective and preventive action plan.

· Consolidate and update Modine China monthly quality report.

· Attend weekly global quality meeting.

· Control quality management documents in share drive and Inside Modine.

· Support Region Quality Manager to supervise SQE team and Warranty & Reliability Engineer.

· Support Region Quality Manager to facilitate Modine Global Quality Conference held in China.

2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

General minimum experience of 5 years in quality engineering. In addition to customer and project assignments requiring greater skills and experience, the incumbent provides leadership and guidance to less experienced employee. An in-depth understanding of TS/ISO 16949,VDA6.3, various automotive customers’ requirements and quality tools.

3. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field is required.

4. TRAVEL:

The incumbent need travel to Modine China plants for internal audit, process audit and training, or may travel to customer to gather further information on customer requirements. The incumbent may also occasionally travel to overseas to attend Modine Global Quality Conference or training.
