What are my responsibilities?

Mission of Function:

- Focal point is the preventive quality assurance of local and transnational projects.

- Consulting and support of the project manager and the project team as expert and partner for the assurance of the product and process quality, of the attainability of quality requirements of the customer and the assurance of applicable laws and engineer standards.

Dimensions of Function:

- Reduce due NCC caused by non- mature product release, smooth the production after release Contacts (internal / external) :

- project management, development, production, purchase, controlling, sales, service, quality in the factory, SQM/customers, suppliers, public authorities, third party persons, organizations Areas of Responsibility / Tasks - Intern and extern contact persons for all project related quality questions. This also includes the reconciliation with the QM of the Business Segment.

- Determination and pursuance of product and process related quality requirements from the customer contract / F&E assignment and other requirements.

- Planning and directing of all QM-activities in complex location- and transnational projects; creating a Q-plan, including the application of methods for failure prevention and risk determination, e.g. FMEA, review, risk analysis, 8D-reports, lessons learned.

- Checking and assuring regarding the adequateness and effectiveness of quality assurance measurements in the project. - Support regarding the planning and contribution of the execution of project milestones inclusively the Quality Gates. Controlling of execution in due time and the quality with regards to the content of milestone meetings, as well as assessing the effective treatment of defined measurements from milestone meetings.

- Ascertainment of applicable key data for measuring of the product / service and process quality within the project.

- Contribution and support of the common project management and the project specific project development, e.g. modification management, configuration management, for implementing and documenting according to requirements.

- Planning, coordination and implementation or assignment of product and process audits, project reviews and first sample checks. If there are differing BS-specific definitions the QM in the project has the responsibility for the project specific controlling, incl. the implementation of measurements.

- Preparation / documentation (in terms of a project manual) of explicit required project specific processes, e.g. modification management, by reconciling all relevant people.

- Planning and assuring of the quality reporting to the project manager and the head of the quality management of the BS, assuring the pursuance of derived measurements as well as checking of completeness and the actuality of quality documentation.

- Responsibility for the check of distinct arrangement of interfaces within the project and between functional departments and the project.

- Assuring environment requirements within the project life cycle. (see e.g. SN 36350)

- Issuing of specific instructions in Q-requirements within the project, intervention and escalation in the case of failure of Q-specifications/ guidelines. Approval resp. block because of check results of every kind.
