Job description:

· Draft new patent applications in English in the medical device field and other mechanical areas for US clients

· Prepare responses to Office Actions with China State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO)

· Translate US patent applications into Chinese for filing with SIPO

· Translate Chinese patents into English

· Coordinate with local China intellectual property associates and agents

· Assist with other related work as needed

Requirements:

· A bachelor of Science degree or above

· Major in mechanical engineering or equivalent

· Experience drafting medical device patent applications

· Excellent reading, writing and oral language skills both in Chinese and English

· Patent agent qualification certificate holder and at least 2-3 years of professional patent experience

· Good computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows 7 applications

· Well-organized, detail-oriented and a hard-working team player in a multi-cultural work environment

· Ability to meet deadlines
