Regional Sales and BD Manager – Automotive Aftermarket
(With the opportunity to grow into the Country Manager role)
Location: preferably Shanghai (other major cities would be considered)
If you are a successful business developer with track records in the automotive aftersales market and a strong sense of responsibility, we would really like to get to know you. For this role you will be trained by the Danish company Nissens. Quickly after your introduction, you will build a profitable business in your region by pro-actively approaching prospects and clients and building long lasting relations. You create partnership and cooperate well with both stakeholders outside and inside Nissens.
Nissens encourages growth and development of their employees. Therefore we expect the regional manager to grow into a Country Manager position in 2 years’ time.
Reporting directly to: Senior Vice President, Automotive (based in Denmark)
Main responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing and managing the relationship and business strategies for complex accounts (cross-regional, national, etc.)
- Develop growth and new business opportunities jointly with accounts and supports cost initiatives.
- Extend and expand sales of products and services to existing clients.
- Provide product & applications training to customers including end users, dealers, and service stations in supporting of sales objectives.
- Lead, manage and coordinate communication and interfaces with the customer at all levels.
- Act as a champion for the voice of the customer within the business.
- Develop account strategy and works with key stakeholders in the business to achieve optimum results.
- Responsible for measuring customer satisfaction and creating action plans to improve satisfaction based on data.
- Manage accounts receivable deliverables including payment terms negotiation discussions.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above, major in vehicle, mechanical engineering or business disciplines is preferred
- 8+ years of relevant work experience including previous customer and/or product experience required
- Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
- Strong understanding of Automotive Aftermarket business, especially distribution
- Strong ability to deal with automotive spare parts
- Consistently acts in an ethical, open, honest, trustworthy and truthful manner.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Good relationship building skills
- Willingness to travel
