Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for generating new business from a portfolio of existing and new clients. And it requires drive, team orientation, resilience and a flexible but well organised work style.

This position requires an in-depth understanding of the business development process with a strong ability to close business. You will possess a ‘can do’ attitude with a drive to succeed. You will have a set territory, which will be supplemented by your own prospecting and CCH marketing activity.

• Achieve on going sales revenue goals and new sales growth target.
• Understand wide variety of prospective industries and businesses, including accountants, lawyers, Human Resources, in order to determine critical and relevant issues, and provide appropriate business solutions
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with new and existing clients at multiple levels
• Maintain product knowledge and keep abreast of product developments across wide range of services, including both traditional research services, as well as more complex software applications
• Gather and report to management team all of the business relevant activities in assigned territory, including new product and service improvement opportunities, which is deemed necessary to management team.
• Implement the sales process specified by the company, accepts internal coaching to improve sales effectiveness and sales skills continually.
• Manage customer database well
• Maximize time spending in front of customers through efficient administration and time management

Qualifications:

It is expected the candidate will possess 5 years business development experience, ideally with a degree in business, finance or law, and will have:

• The ability to work in a target driven and goal orientated environment
• An intimate understanding of sales cycles and processes.
• A sound understanding of the relevant professional business environments – tax & accounting, law and HR.
• A thorough understanding of the purchasing decision process and drivers for medium to large organizations.
• Commercial acumen that enables effective and efficient evaluation the potential viability of new business to achieve profitable results.
• The ability to work autonomously with sense of consultative solution selling approach.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Excellent PC skills – word, excel, Internet and lotus notes.
