GAST is a division of IDEX, a listed US multi-national (IEX) based in Benton Harbor, MI. GAST was formed in 1921 and has been part of IDEX Corporation since 1998. It is a market leader in the design and manufacture of air-moving products. With headquarters in Michigan and a presence in three continents GAST has a reputation for making quality air motors, vacuum generators, compressors and vacuum pumps.
Purpose of Job
Explore and develop new and existing business, opportunities and sales channels for Gast/JUN-AIR to ensure the development and growth of Gast/JUN-AIR markets in the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Meets or exceeds sales revenue plan as established through the strategic planning process.
? Analyze the needs, understand and evaluate the magnitude of opportunity by region and the competition.
? To seek new potential accounts, markets and product opportunities and likely partnering organizations (such as distributors and agents)
? Develop the business relations with customers/distributors to emphasize on key benefit of Gast/JUN-AIR products vs. applications
? Develop and lead actionable growth strategies based on opportunities identified.
? Develop strong understanding of the technical processes and applications that utilize our products. Utilize this knowledge to support current and future sales channels and end users.
? Ensure at all times that the profile of the company is positively represented at all levels within existing and customer organization and that effective and positive relationship are developed and maintain with all customers.
? Develop strong understanding of customer’s process and organization. Utilize this knowledge to support current and future sales.
? Targeting and acquiring high growth in our identified core markets, as well as identifying and pursuing share in adjacent/ target markets.
? Develop and implement strategies for displacement of competition at targeted accounts.
? Complete comprehensive competitive review and analysis of marketplace.
? Provide the company with new product and service ideas, market trends, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence.
? Monthly reporting as required.

Experience and Qualifications
A degree in engineering and/or business and a minimum of 3/ 5 years experience in technical sales or project sales. Good knowledge of pneumatics is preferred.
Self motivated, organizational skills, planning skills, project management and negotiation skills, communications skills, (oral & written) presentation skills and computer skills.
Willingness to travel
