Brief
Can you build a prototype for a simple game in a week? Have you ever participated in a Game Jam? Is it difficult for you to finish a project because you keep starting new ones? PopCap Shanghai is looking for a talented programmer to join our prototyping team. While the primary work will be development, the ideal candidate will be a multi-discipline person with other complimentary skills related to the development of games such as design or art. Come help our R&D department ideate PopCap’s future products.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and use proper tools do fast prototyping.
- Communication with producers smoothly and implement the ideas in short time.
- Out of box thinking. Wear many hats.
- Need to get involved in the prototyping deeply and can inspire with designers.
- Provide professional feedbacks for the prototypes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Expert on game software development. Proficiency in at least one language such as C++, C#, or AS3.
- Ability to learn quickly. You might be required to learn about new technologies or learn new tools or languages.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different engines/tools.
- Familiar with 2D and 3D.
- Strong self-management.
- Team player who can communicate with English easily. You don’t need to be academically fluent, but you must be able to communicate somehow.
- Familiar with Flash and Unity3D is a plus because we will probably be using those tools a lot.
