Casting Category Sourcing Engineer

Sandvik Mining, a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The position would directly report to: Regional Category Sourcing Manager.Below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:

·Build up and maintain strategic and long-term cooperation relationship with key suppliers;

·Responsible for supplier annual contract review and negotiation to minimize total cost of ownership and to meet set targets and KPIs (cost, quality and delivery);

·Manage RSO compliance with, and use of global and local contracts within category;

·Lead annual productivity improvements with suppliers pursuing cost reduction opportunities in alignment with the sourcing strategy (e.g. lowering inventory levels, increasing yields, improving supplier operations, etc.).

·Secure supplier quality performance analysis, report and provide feedback on findings, and be actively involved in supplier performance evaluation;

·Lead and work closely with Supplier Quality and PDC team on new supplier qualification;

·Monitor supply markets, interpret market intelligence and develop supplier profiles for key suppliers;

·Manage implementation of savings projects to optimize total cost of ownership from supplier;

·Identify and manage implementation of category savings projects globally to optimize total cost of ownership for category;

·Work according to processes, leveraging systems and tools;

·Responsible for adherence to internal and external policies, regulations and laws;

·Responsible for suppliers’ compliance with Sandvik policies and guidelines including EHS, Supplier Code of Conduct etc.

·Support development and implement of local category strategies; including priorities, targets and action plans;

·Manage sourcing information in GSPD (Global Sourcing Project Database), ERP, and other company system;

Your profile:

·Bachelor degree in Mechanism or related fields;

·Strong experience within casting, machining process knowledge;

·Strong experience at commercial terms and contract management;

·Good negotiation skills;

·There is clear objective driving for this position;

·Good command for both Oral English and Written English;

·Good communication skills and can work under pressure;

·External suppliers in regional China;

·Internal stakeholders for category like oversea PA sourcing / engineering / quality / buying / finance functional teams;

·Global categories sourcing team;

·Regional project sourcing / supplier quality functional teams;

·Jiading Assembly Center production and quality teams.
