Sourcing Manager Rolling Stock Category/采购经理

Fonssino (previously known as Portland Global Sourcing) was established in 2007 to support our clients seeking to drive benefits from sourcing global markets, primarily China and other Asian countries, but also including Latin America and Eastern Europe.

Fonssino has driven savings for clients by sourcing products that include: Chemicals; Blades, rollers; Packaging; Flexibles; Structural steel; Conveyor systems; Steel products; Building materials; Glass, aluminium products, timber products; Fasteners, hardware; Manufacturing consumables and spares; Materials handling equipment; Pumps, valves, electric motors; Mining consumables; Engineering spares and consumables, etc.

Job Description

· Managing sourcing and procurement projects on rolling stock products, including locomotives,

railroad cars, coaches and wagons, maintenance machinery, as well as railway related components and

spare parts;

· Responsible for suppliers exploration and qualification;

· Responsible for supplier audits, monitoring, and management;

· Responsible for purchase order management, order inspection, logistics coordination

· Responsible for solution implementation with suppliers

· Frequent travel is requested

Experience & Competence necessary

· 8 years working experience in rolling stock industry, 5 years in managing sourcing and procurement;

· Interest and capability in working with operational issues

· Confident ability to prioritise own work often within tight deadlines

· Ability to work in teams and take directions

· Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PPT

· Proficient in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)

Education

· Mechanical / electrical engineering background

· College degree and above

We are not a trading business. Where requested we ‘pull’ product into the market based on specific client orders & requests, not ‘push’ product into the market to sell at lowest cost. We provide bespoke, flexible solutions for our clients which can incorporate elements of both project-based (consulting) services and managed services, depending on the desired outcomes.
