职位描述
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Design and create high quality firmware engineering specifications for embedded controls systems based on product technical requirements
? Write high reliability application firmware for various microprocessors-based embedded systems
? Troubleshoot, maintain, improve and utilize the existing code base and propose improvement plans when necessary
? Participate the activities related to the inception, design and testing of industrial control and automation systems
? Assist hardware design engineers with prototype test and debug
? Manage and coordinate with PCBA manufacturers for firmware related ongoing manufacturing matters and quality assurance
? Act as technical resource to other departments like services, quality, application engineering teams on specific embedded controls related issues when necessary
? Responsible to meet timelines and schedules for specific projects and tasks assigned
? Follow company standards as well as processes and provides training materials for internal and external clients related to interpreting controls specifications, identifying costs, outlining testing procedures, and controls revision and programming methods
? Source new methods or technologies to meet specific project/product requirements to improve performance and reduce cost across product lines
? Contribute to continued process improvement, tool and product development, and firmware/software analysis
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
? Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Controls/Computer Science or equivalent
? 5+ years of hands-on development experience using various C/C++
? 5+ years experience writing high reliability and robust application/software for critical
applications
? 5+ years' experience with embedded industrial controls related system design
? Experiences with Fieldbus (such as Modbus, CAN, Profibus) , industrial Ethernet based or wireless network and communication protocols
? Ability to read schematics and interpret, optimize and work with an existing code base
? Experiences with PLC and/or SCADA control systems is preferred
? Experiences with multiple embedded microprocessor architectures/systems (i.e. 8/16/32 bit MCU, ARM, Coldfire, DSP, or PowerPC, etc.)
? Skilled in writing structured high quality technological documentation like requirement analysis and engineering specification
? Experiences with process industry environment such as water treatment plant is preferred
? Experience with project management is an add-on advantage
? Self-starter with limited supervision
? Excellent English communication skills, in both speaking and writing
? Occasional domestic/international travel is required
