Responsibility
1. In the capacity as mechanical engineer, attend workshops to truly understand clients’ project requirement and discuss over the economic and technical feasibility, work out design brief to thoroughly reflect the requirement, develop into the report to clients and assist with the compiling of tendering document to contractors, review DI’s technical design and supplier’s shop drawing;
2. Prepare and assist in the preparation of all aspects of reports including design brief and technical design review report, with particular emphasis on the budget costs and technical sections of mechanical services;
3. Review the budget cost of mechanical services for variations and schedules of costs submitted on on-going projects; Prepare variation assessment report;
4. Develop and improve central cost database to provide a valuable source of raw data and to ensure maximum correlation between cost estimates and budget;
5. Attend site as required for the purposes of verifying progress and quality of construction and for assistance in solving site-based mechanical questions;
6. Provide general mechanical engineering advice and support to staff and clients as required;
7. Provide and offer input and assistance as required and directed by design director and other senior staff;

Requirement
1. Bachelor or higher degree in mechanical engineering;
2. 5 years relevant experience, experience in construction outside China is preferred;
3. Working knowledge of relevant China codes/regulation, familiarity with some international code is preferred;
4. Working knowledge of the design & specification of electrical engineering services;
5. IT literate and Autocad 2007 experience, MS office 2003/2007 professional;
