Their solutions help you prevent, diagnose, and manage major issues in these clinical areas: Infection Prevention (Protection & Infection Control, Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia and Surgical Site Infections), Digestive Health and Pain Management.


JOB PURPOSE



Develop and implement business plans for key hospital and Health Care accounts to achieve or exceed specified sales volumes across all product categories which return pre-determined profit margins.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES


1. Develop and implement account specific business plans, to ensure targets are met state for all product categories to meet or exceed budget expectations.


2. Develop strong team relationships with National and other State sales personnel and marketing, to ensure State business objectives are met.


3. Ensure all business dealings are conducted to conform with the Company's Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and internal controls, to protect the Company and its assets.


4. Develop and maintain superior relationships with internal and external customers, to maximise co-operation and achieve "preferred supplier " status.


5. Contribute information on market intelligence, products, customers, competitor activity and regularly report on new business opportunities, to assist in forecasting and tactical and strategic marketing plans across the Division. .


6. Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates, peers and others who have a need to know. This includes full maintenance of the electronic contact management system. Communicate in a way that is appropriately prompt, complete and concise, being both candid and accurate. Be positive, clear and responsive.


7. Liaise with the distributors for the product listing, planning & supplying to the accounts.

POSITION AND SCOPE


The Health Care Division is a specific profit centre and its results affect the achievement of the Company's overall profit and PCE objectives.


ENVIRONMENT


This position operates in a rapidly changing and highly competitive, contract driven environment. This business is characterised by cost/funding constraints, and OH&S infection control and environmental issues.


There is an increasing penetration of single use surgical and sterile containment products in the Health Care market. The job holder is required to work unsupervised in their day to day activities and balance sales, service, training activities and reporting to achieve personal and sales objectives.


The incumbent must tailor each business presentation to customer needs within the Company's Code of Conduct and include detailed product performance attributes and cost analysis to maximise every business opportunity.


The incumbent has the freedom to act within agreed policies, procedures, designatd prices and cost budgets.

· Clinical Staff (surgeons, nurses, specialists, unit managers and area clinical product managers)

QUALIFICATIONS AND BUSINESS EXPERIENCE


Recognised tertiary qualifications in Health Care, science, business or marketing together with a minimum of five years sales experience would be desirable. Two years Sales experience in the Health Care industry would be essential to competently handle this position.


Extensive contact with key decision makers in the Health care industry would be desirable particularly in the relevant State.


A demonstrable knowledge of key decision makers and or associations in the Health Care Industry would be desirable.
