Our client is a biotech company which develops, produces and distributes systems for use in life-science research laboratories worldwide. Its product range includes pipettes, dispensers and centrifuges as well as consumables such as micro test tubes and pipette tips.
Sales Support Engineer
Responsibilities & Main tasks:
1. Detailed technical explanation of molecular biology research tools and reagents.
2. Intensive argumentation in favor of company's products.
3. Demonstration of molecular biology research reagents and tools at clients' laboratories.
4. Identification of potential clients and enhance sales of company products in China including:
a. Meet and Exceed sales targets. Increasing sales by actively selling through our distribution network, supporting other Application Specialists and Sales Representatives, developing tactical plans to maximize revenues.
b. To be accountable for business planning, forecasting and achievement of objectives, key performance indicators and revenue forecasts.
c. Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities and references. Increase number of strategic partnerships. Promotion of specialist area in Chinese market such as seminars and exhibitions and so on.
d. Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and references
e. Utilize the CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness of the customer and the aid sales.
5. Organization of meetings or other communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units.
6. Further tasks on request
Qualification / Additional Requirements:
1. University degree in natural science preferably in molecular biology or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3 years of sales experience with proven track record.
3. Proven experience of various techniques including PCR, RNA, DNA manipulation and protein expression.
4. Knowledge of relevant markets related to instrumentation, diagnostic, genomic of molecular biological topics and products. Distributor management experience preferred.
5. Strong communications skills.
6. Fluent in English oral and writing is a must.
7. Willingness to travel
