Job Description - Design Engineer

Summary:

This main responsibility of this position is to coordinate design related current engineering activities for the Prepress Output device manufacturing.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate output device design activities.

2. Do design activities as needed to support cost reduction, engineering change, and new product development.

3. Interface closely with worldwide design teams.

4. Root cause analysis of design related product issues.

5. Lead projects as required.

6. Leader for six sigma design engineering.

7. Provide leadership in design activities to team members.

Key/Critical Competencies:

1. Highly organized and proactive.

2. Excellent planning and project management skills.

3. Excellent Communication Skills - both Chinese and English speaking and writing skills.

4. Analytical and Data Driven - demonstrated ability to use data in decision making and use of a systematic approach to problem solving and task management.

5. Proven mechanical design capability and CAD software knowledge.

6. Presentation skills - ability to summarize data and present to management.

7. Works well in cross functional team environment.

Education and Experience:

1. BS Degree in Engineering or Scientific Field (Mechanical, Electrical, etc)

2. 5+ Years Experience in Product Development and/or Manufacturing Operations

3. Project Management experience

4. Commercial printing equipment knowledge
