Job Description for Shanghai China Trade & Investment Consultant for the State of Missouri

Seeking an outgoing individual who can work in a team environment and able to meet strict deadlines. Position is located in Shanghai. Knowledge of the Midwest of the United States is helpful.

· The candidate shall have graduated from an accredited University in Business or a related field.

· Must be fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.

· U.S. inbound investment promotion experience is preferred.

· International trade promotion experience is preferred. Candidate must be able to obtain a passport and visa to travel to the U.S. Some travel within China will be expected.

· Candidate must be able to develop and expand business opportunities for companies wishing to do business in Missouri and China.

· Able to recruit investment prospects to Missouri.

· Experience on working with Chinese government agencies is preferred.

· Able to develop working relationships with Chinese governmental officials.

· Must possess working knowledge of foreign business.

· Knowledge of current market opportunities.

· Knowledge of trade practices and regulations in China.

· Able to manage the trade shows and trade missions for Missouri companies.

· Willing to work overtime.

· Comfortable with the time difference between Missouri and China, 13 hrs (DST)/14 hrs.
