Position Overview

Shanghai Disney Resort is seeking a University Relations Manager to strategically develop, implement and oversee the campus relations program. This leader will manage the campus recruitment efforts for all internships and full-time recruiting targeting undergraduate, graduate, and MBA level candidates. This role will be responsible to build critical relationships with key administrators, faculty and academic advisors at universities across China with a goal of driving and implementing innovative campus strategies that align with the vision of the Shanghai Disney Resort. This leader will develop and implement opportunities for meaningful collaboration with academic institutions in order to advance students skills and experiences while advancing the company’s desire for qualified and talented Cast.

This role will partner and collaborate with other Campus Managers across the Walt Disney Company in order to share best practices, leverage talent and resources and represent the global opportunities that Disney has to offer.

Responsibilities

· Responsible to develop the long-term Campus Recruitment strategy to effectively meet the business needs pre and post opening of the Shanghai Disney Resort

· Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with targeted universities, colleges and vocational schools

· Develop and execute strategic plans for on campus activities including recruitment events, speaking engagements, presentations, and other activities

· Utilize recruitment tools for technology optimization, process efficiencies, and applicant pool management

· Stay current on college trends, new technology and tools that impact campus recruiting and implement as appropriate

· Ensure excellent communication both within Shanghai Disney Resort and with campus leaders

· Create employment brand awareness and advance our reputation at targeted campuses through value added work

· Understand how to improve Disney’s competitiveness, national visibility, and stature within the academic/ education community.

· Develop a deep understanding of perceptions and needs of students, faculty, and administrators to seek opportunities to advance students skills and experiences while advancing the company’s desire for qualified talented Cast.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor degree required

· Experience in a university recruiting program, University Career Center or related academic field is required

· Proven networking capabilities within higher education including professional organizations, business groups, alumni associations, etc.

· Proven strong knowledge of the structure/governance of higher education within China

· Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence through the organization

· Experience working in mainland China and demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally required

· Language Fluency In Mandarin and English required

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, communication and presentation abilities, and exceptional attention to detail

· Ability to travel as needed

· Highly motivated, goal-oriented leader who excels in entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and results-oriented environments;

· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) are required
