Job Title: QC Inspector
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Key Functions:
1. Working as a member of a cross functional team to carry out QC inspection of orders placed with Chinese suppliers.
2. Working directly with Project Managers to check quality and report quality issues on production orders.
3. Working closely with the Chinese suppliers to ensure that the manufactured products meet company and customer requirements by means of visual verification and dimensional inspection techniques to approved drawings/specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Ensure that you are working to the most up to date mechanical drawing specifications and supporting documentation.
2.Review drawings and specifications on new projects to establish and highlight any potential problems such as level of finish, critical dimensions, etc. Report concerns to the relevant Project Manager / Branch Buyers.
3.Inspect prototypes and first article samples from production tooling. Reporting back to the relevant Project Manager and briefing the supplier's quality personnel on the critical items to be checked during production.
4.Produce QC reports for every factory visit and ensure the completion of the Certificate of Quality Verification is supplied for every project.
5.Consider the implications of quality issues on the delivery schedule and bring to the attention of the relevant Project Manager / Branch Buyers.
6.Ensure that any and all quality issues are documented and reported. Also ensure that any and all corrective actions are duly documented and reported.
7.Monitor the factory's QC procedures to ensure they are providing adequate quality inspections on each project.
8.Check that all the factories QC instrumentation/equipment is in good working order including calibration requirements classified by company and national standards.

2. Engineering degree or equivalent work experience. An understanding of manufacturing process such as sheet metal fabrication, plastic fabrication, plastic vacuum forming, plastic injection moulding, screen-printing, etc would be beneficial.
3. Excellent Quality Inspection skills (must be able to inspect materials, components and assemblies, solve minor quality issues with factory,
4. Good PC skills, proficient in MS Office and AutoCad (SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD package an advantage).
5. A self motivated individual, how id methodical and has a good attention to detail
6. Excellent team player with strong organization, communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Work as part of a multi discipline team, reporting to the Shanghai based QA Manager.
