Due to our rapid expansion we are currently looking for:

SDE Machining

The Role: Providing support & guidance in supplier evaluation, selection, quotation analysis and quality troubleshooting based on his/her expertise in foundry. Supplier development in quality, cost control, process optimization and capacity planning etc.

The Clients:

Our clients are mainly the spinning mills in China.

Duties and Responsibilities:.

· Together with sourcing engineer to enable / develop our suppliers to meet our quality demands.;

· Transferring quality requirements or deviations from requirements into measures to counteract root causes of deviations in machining processes. For that SDE works closely together with Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE);

· Member of project teams for technical transfer or new products;

· Responsible for troubleshooting, continuous process improvement in the machining of round and cubicle components in-house as well as at our suppliers;

· Identify, develop and implement process improvements, equipment improvements and upgrades;

• Bring forward new tooling and process ideas and concepts for enhanced product productivity and quality, convey scope and timing for the implementation new process ideas;
• Conduct off-line machining simulations to evaluate new milling strategies including subsequent implementation into series production;
• Establish timing, pre-requisites and execution strategies for trial production runs for new products, new processes and new tooling. Lead cost savings and continuous improvement activities.

Qualification:

The Ideal candidate is likely to have the following competences:

· At least bachelor degree, Engineering background, major in manufacturing techniques & design;

· Strong background in manufacturing engineering, i.e. MSc in manufacturing engineering +10 years (hands on) experience in the manufacturing of round and cubicle metal components;

· Deep understanding of tolerance chains, manufacturing uncertainties and how they can be minimized using optimum clamping setups and machining strategies;

· Lean thinking

· Sound communication and negotiation skill, and high capability of solving problem alone. Supplier qualification, audit and 6 sigma

· Loyal, Honest, Responsible, Reliable and teamwork

· Fluency of oral and written in English is a must

· Know how to use office, SAP experience is a plus

· Open, Teamwork, Cooperative

· Experience / knowledge in material science, quality control and metrology definitely a plus
