Role Purpose:

The Director of Learning & Development maintains organizational accountability for defining, developing and executing integrated, multi-tiered training, development and communication platforms that support Aegis Media China's strategic objectives and talent management requirements. The role creates competitive advantage by enhancing human capital through development and delivery of continuous learning and development strategies that address key leverage points throughout the business and provide quantifiable return-on-investment, and builds enterprise value through advocacy and implementation of innovative, best-in-class training programs, systems and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with the HRBPs and line leaders to develop and execute learning & development strategies, roadmaps and plans that are in line with the overall company strategic goals.
• Design training courses and structure the program offerings based on the company's competency model and tailor them to employees of all levels
• Research emerging industry trends, new technologies, concepts and techniques to update current training curriculum as appropriate.
• Work with HRBPs and line leaders to identify talent gaps to support the career development of key talents
• Provide counsel and advice on a myriad of talent development issues and develop the team to become the "Centre of Excellence" on talent development for the group in China
• Support the China implantation of the global/regional training courses and staff development programs
• Monitor, evaluate and review the quality and effectiveness of training assessment and outcomes of courses delivered
• Keep up to date with relevant technology (systems, software, tools etc.) used within the organization and develop and deliver appropriate training courses to train relevant staff
• Ensure consistency in Learning & Development (incl. orientation) policies, procedures, practices and standards across the organization
• Select LMS systems and other related training technology to optimise the processes and improve effectiveness of training delivery
• Manage training budget and ensure cost-effectiveness of the group's Learning & Development in China
• Develops metrics and performance indicators to ensure Learning & Development investments maximize retention and deliver requisite return-on-investment.
• Works collaboratively and effectively with other HR team members across the group and agency companies to develop and implement training programs that improve employee retention and engagement.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of talent development experience in positions of increasing responsibility with at least 10 years in talent leadership role in a comparable scale business
• Solid experience in a multi-unit, multi-location organisation designing, writing, teaching and implementing learning and learning systems and programs
• Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization including senior management, thereby building trust, credibility and influence for the training function
• Comprehensive knowledge and proven application of learing and development systems, programs and methodologies to drive business results
• Knowledge of current talent development trends, has proven ability to think strategically
• Results-oriented team player with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively to targeted audiences in a variety of settings
• Expertise and solid proficiency with basic office computer and software and training-related technologies, applications and programs
