POSITION SCOPE. The Assistant Merchandiser is responsible for providing organizational support to the merchandiser and design teams, partnering with the Merchandiser on in-season management and maintaining department’s time & action calendars. He/She leverages organizational and analytical skills, as well an eye for relevant trends, to support the brand and the achievement of financial goals.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES.
Oversee collection in-season management with accountability for meeting and exceeding goals.
Create, maintain and analyze selling reports to draw inferences, create solutions, and adjust strategies to maximize the business and drive the merchandising process forward.
Implementing Product strategies throughout the Product Life-Cycle, including inventory tracking, markdowns and promotional events with Sourcing, Design, Marketing and Retail Operations.
Conduct competitive shopping analysis to understand customer, market trends and pricing and promotional strategies.
Managing Time & Action calendar for product, product design and graphic design departments.
Accountable for assisting in the preparation of materials for critical meetings.
Proactive in seeking new opportunities to grow the business and further professional development.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS.
Build and cultivate strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Design, Marketing and Retail Operations.
High degree of Flexibility. Ability to adjust shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.
Understanding of retail math concepts.
Understanding of the men’s market and how it relates to the Indochino customer.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Ability to speak Mandarin a plus
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 2 years work experience in merchandising with an
apparel manufacturer, retailer or marketer
