MISSION :

The Purchase Manager is in charge to develop the best cost efficient supplier base according to the purchasing strategy of Mark IV AIC.
With an adequate experience in automotive domain preferably powertrain/Air induction/Engine cooling.
Knowledge of industrial process for component manufacturing.
He identify potential service and improve our supplier portfolio to meet raw materials, components, tools and machines requirement (Numbers, Quality, Cost Delivery) as per Mark IV or Customer needs.
He will negociate for capital goods for our office & plants.
He will make the interface between R & D and quality supplier team for proto phase and new project.
He will participate to the purchasing strategy and process

More than 5 years of working experience in Purchase in international company

Very good written and verbal communication skills and being able to work in an international working context.

Detailed competency requisites :

Able to develop a strong supplier base (component, Raw material, capital goods etc..)
Good skill in negotiation.
Able to work in team spirit with project management , feasibility team, process engineering and production.
Develop his supplier base with cost effective and quality target.
Create and follow up a cost saving portfolio.

He will follow up serial price and inform the GM of price or delivery issue & propose back up solution.
Expert in the family product he is dealing with
Implement purchasing policies in relation with corporate purchasing.

Knowledge/exposure of TS 16949 - APQP, PPAP etcs and ISO 14001.
Strong communication skills as well as a good team player; Technically / conceptually sound in his domain.
Have a good level on technical English and is able to translate documents.
Use to work with Microsoft and ERP software
Able to transfer his knowlede to purchase engineer
Desirable : Handling abroad suppliers French , German, italien etcs
Languages Speak fluently English;

Suppliers Development

ü -Identify potential vendors for supply of components, capital equipments and services.
ü -Propose resourcing for cost saving and quality improvement.
ü -Initiate Quality and Engineering Audits.
ü -Plan for Supplier Audit ( systems, Upgradation)
ü -Upgrade Vendor/Supplier database.
ü -Make plan for supplier safety & system audit.

Projects RFQ and Development

ü -Estimate the material cost for new projects.
ü -Meet the costs as per the Budget and as per targets given by the project team.
ü -Meet the milestones on time.
ü -Responsible for quality and time delivery during project development with the Project Manager
ü -Will manage the issue with the supplier from RFQ to serial production.
ü -He will sign the approval of Intital sample.
ü -Will create the PO till the transfert of project to production (logistic department).
ü -He will limit the number of supplier and find synergy with Mark IV group.


Mass Production / Cost Saving
ü -Prepare cost saving project through VA/VE ,Alternate Supplier/Product .
ü -Make annual cost saving target & review on monthly basis.
ü Negotiation with supplier for cost reduction keeping view the market situation (and the Mark IV group potential).
ü -Support Production, SCM, Quality in connexion with supplier


Purchase Policies & Financial Dimensions
ü Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures in accordance with Mark IV standards.
ü -Maximize credit period from supplier.
ü -Ensure standardization in various activities wherever applicable.
ü -Negotiate the best possible, yet fair, commercial items.
ü -Propose and follow the purchase budget

Reporting & quality

ü -He will built weekly and monthly report to inform the GM and all the concern Direction.
ü -Annual budget on the component in serial.
ü Initiate and follow up the Supplier quality audit / upgrade the supplier list for quality approval and quality devivery level.
ü -Devlop with the supplier the corrective action plan in case of NOK quality.
ü -Follow up the indicator..
ü In his mission he will be responsible to take care of all procedure and rules link to safety and environnement.

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.


Remark:


Could be trained for global purchase in France.
