Job Description
The Business Manager at Thoughtful China provides an experienced candidate with the opportunity to work with one of the world's most innovative media companies. Thoughtful generates audiences for advertisers by creating entertainment content that appeals to targeted online viewers.

We work with the most watched distributors (weibo, Tudou, Youku, Kaixin, Renren, QQ) to deliver entertainment that combines brand advertising messages with the content we create. Our clients consist of many of the world's largest brands, 4A advertising and public relations agencies.

The Business Manager/Director will be responsible for developing sales relationships with those decision-makers and influencers who buy and sell media in China.


Desired Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience developing strategies for brands using social media and online advertising strategies. This requires an understanding of branding, marketing, and how the online community is using the Internet. The successful candidate will be a fluent Mandarin and English-speaking sales professional with 4+ years experience representing ad agencies or brands in China. The position requires the candidate to:
- Have a deep knowledge of digital media sales in China
-Be an expert in China's social media space, particularly Weibo
-Know and communicate on a regular basis with decision-makers and influencers in the advertising industry
-Understand branded content and how it works to promote and engage online viewers
-Show a successful track record of selling ideas to both ad agencies and brands in the China marketplace
-Provide knowledge of how to use CRM programs to manage and maintain contacts, campaign ideas and leads
-Work with a team of professionals who produce content, develop social media programs and support the business development process
