Responsibilities:

·Analyze and investigate economic conditions surrounding business activity that can include competition and industry trends, Conducting market research primary in Asia

·Create goals and objectives with a business plan, following up on market opportunities in Asia

·Production of Fee Proposals, Tenders, Grant applications, Business plans and RFP's

·Handling first BD requests/communication with future clients

·First point of contact in Shanghai for day-to-day communication of BD team in Amsterdam

·Assist in maintaining a clear overview of business related inquires

·Assist by client visits, fee & contract negotiations in China

·Prepare presentations for visits of Directors/Associate Director to potential clients

·Maintaining and updating Chinese BD material

·Maintaining and searching UNStudio's media tools for PR and communication, Optimize publication opportunities for UNStudio in Asia

·Communication and collaboration with the Amsterdam office

·Coordinating with clients, consultants, and other collaborators for project related issues

·Keep track and communicate status of BD/PR actions

·Inform Directors, Associate Directors and Associates on any questions regarding Business development and PR opportunities

Qualifications:

·MA/BA Degree in International Business, Real Estate, Design, Communications or equivalent

·2 years+ proven experience in Business Development in the creative industry, real estate, project development is preferred

·Excellent command of both written & oral English and Chinese

·Proficiency in Microsoft office Word, Excel, PPT, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe InDesign, etc

·Good communication, coordination skills and team work player

·Working carefully with high sense of responsibility

·Efficient and diligent

·Attention to detail

·Highly developed skills in client communications

·Hands-on approach

·Self-disciplined and confident in a complex international environment

Education - Academic

The Business Development Manager is responsible for assessing and reporting on new business potentials and the preparation of prequalification, project scope and fee proposals for Architecture, Masterplanning and Cultural Analysis Projects. To support these primary activities, the Business Development Manager will support the UNStudio partners and associates in the pursuit of project potentials, conduct market research and present analysis of quarterly business development activities. In addition the Business Development Manager will manage day-to-day BD activities in Asia, which include facilitating external and internal communication, processing of proposals, maintaining detailed records and creating marketing materials.
