Internet marketing director job description

To lead a strategic team by establishing company’s online presence and overseeing the development of our social media monetization to increase company’s online traffic and visibility.

Key duties/responsibilities of Internet marketing director:

1. Design, implement and manage online marketing programs focusing on building awareness and customer acquisition.

2. Manage SEO and SEM projects and budget Manage weekly and monthly reporting and tracking, flagging issues for internal stakeholders and report metrics appropriately.

3. Devise and manage social media programs and work with internal stakeholders on developing and implementing social media strategy.

4. Create feature specification processes for changes to the website and other online projects.

5. Develop and manage metrics and budgets; understand and implement coding schemes for tracking purposes.

6. Propose new marketing program ideas and then secure support from internal and external stakeholders to fund and execute these programs.

7. Lead the team in coordinating consistent user experiences and brand presence across all internet presences.

8. Analyze and report program performance; provide results and recommendations for improvement and new programs.

9. Effectively manage outside partnerships to maximize ROI on program investment.

10. Leverage a “test, measure and refine” approach to constantly improve program results and increase the impact of online marketing on revenue and profitability.

11. Work with Product Marketing, Marketing Communications and Sales to develop and execute highly effective direct response programs to significantly increase inbound lead flow and pipeline generation.

12. Analyze and report program performance; provide results and recommendations for improvement and new programs.

13. Work with Product Marketing, Marketing Communications and Sales to develop and execute highly effective direct response programs to significantly increase inbound lead flow and pipeline generation.

14. Effectively manage outside partnerships to maximize ROI on program investment.

17. Drive revenue on websites for both books and journal sales.

18. Manage SEO and SEM projects and budget.

19. Design, implement and manage online marketing programs focusing on building awareness and customer acquisition.


Prerequisites:

? MSc/MBA in Marketing or related field.

? Marketing experience at a small to mid-size professional services organization.

? Experience developing a custom website from scratch for B2B and B@C model

? Experience integrating a custom website with ERP and CRM systems...

? Experience in software development with experience as an Internet Marketer.

? Proven experience with new media and internet advertising, including measurement of online strategies, as well as the ability to generate and analyze user data.

? Proven experience using social media, PPC, SEO, interactive websites, YouKu, Weibo etc and Online Newsletters.

? Manage and direct messaging behind every product roll out online, the website, internet marketing campaigns, and social media.

? Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.

? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

? Ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

? Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach and positive attitude.

? Brand management experience.

? Marketing portfolio with samples of demonstrated work.

? Knowledge of various content management systems (CMS) and platforms.


Preferred Qualities:

1. Knowledge and experience in education industry.

2. Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
