Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Maintain close relationships with the Taiwanese financial regulatory bodies.
- Be responsible for interpretation of regulatory requirements and turning these into functional and business requirements.
- Work closely with the technical team in Shanghai to ensure that they have a clear understanding of requirements and support them throughout the development process.
- Review and test system changes to the regulatory solution.
- Provide business expertise support to project teams during the implementation of regulatory solutions.
- Provide pre-sales support with demonstrations of the WKFS Taiwan regulatory solution and address business issues raised during meetings.
- Provide professional regulatory advice to customers as may be required from time to time.
- Maintain regular contact with fellow business professionals to discuss the effect and interpretation of regulatory changes and to maintain a high standard of business expertise.
- Training is likely to require an initial posting to our Singapore office of 2 to 3 months.
Qualifications
Education
- Master degree (or higher) in finance or relevant business related areas.
Experience and knowledge
Essential:
- Minimum 8+ years of combined experience in banking, financial and regulatory areas.
- Direct experience and knowledge of banking regulatory requirements in Taiwan.
- Experience of working with IT systems, particularly with regard to banking and regulatory reporting preferred.
- Ability to analyse a set of financial requirements and to redefine in simple terms as a functional requirement.
- Existing contacts within the Taiwan regulatory bodies would be an advantage.
- Demonstrably good interpersonal skills.
- Mandarin speaker, with excellent written skills.
- Fluency in English, written and oral
Desirable:
- Strong knowledge of risk management and financial institutional compliance

- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, methodical and organised
- Self-learner
- Assertive, being able to make correct decisions based on personal judgement
- Team player
- Strong problem solving
- Good presentation skills
- To be based in Shanghai but with a willingness to travel up to 25%, mainly within China & Taiwan
- Energetic and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
