Offered position:
This offered position is based in our Shanghai R&D centre, where are gathered most of the Asia R&D teams for all the Carrier Air Conditioning and Refrigeration divisions, with numerous Best In Class testing facilities including performance test rooms and reliability test platform for systems / components, within a Chinese and English spoken environment.
Joined development with our R&D center in Germany have been successfully performed since several years, offering valuable opportunities for overseas extensive training / teamwork to any new hired Manager who will demonstrate his superior capabilities.

Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the position is the engineering development of refrigeration mechanical technologies. In this role, the candidate will use engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of products and systems, and will manage a team of Engineers / Designers. To do this, the candidate must have a strong understanding of the structure of the commercial refrigeration product and corresponding manufacturing processes, a proven experience of development of sheet metal, frame and plastic parts to be applied on Refrigeration Display Cases, and a successful experience of managing an Engineering team in a similar product environment.

Responsibilities:
?Design new Refrigeration Cabinet components and / or systems, by managing a project team located in the R&D center and in the remote factories
?Lead the projects, report to the Top Management by ensuring full compliance to the Company Processes for new product or for Technology Transfer with our JV partner
?Optimize the cost / performance of new or existing products
?Ensure all product design meet company standards, especially for safety and quality
?Bring innovation and value addition through accurate design and design documentation
?Validate components function and reliability in laboratory and at job site field-trials
?Perform efficient teamwork with supply chain to meet product cost target and to secure the best logistic conditions for new components
?Collaborate with the manufacturing teams to implement design into production and to finalize the Industrialization and Qualification phases
?Support Sales and Marketing whenever requested
?Align with our German R&D center colleagues, organize and lead the necessary tracking conference calls, report monthly on project progresses

Candidate Attributes:
?Master degree with major in Mechanical or similar major, with several years of relevant experience, preferably in the Refrigeration or Air Conditioning industry
?Be familiar with common MS Office and 3D Modeling software application
?In depth knowledge of Mechanics, and good notion of FEA analysis
?Experience in assigned areas: refrigeration systems, materials and component selection, detailed mechanical design and fabrication, sheet metal, piping, casting, plastics
?Natural Leadership and proven teamwork skills
?Interest in working on international projects
?Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic and international team utilizing the most modern R&D technologies and processes.
?Good English (both written and spoken) and superior communication ability
