Sr. Engineering Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for entire strategic project plan and coordination of multi-department activities, including project vision, key assumptions, plan, timelines, budgets, coordination with customers and vendors, etc.
• Ensures program scopes include global input from all functional areas including Marketing, Clinical, R&D, Quality, Legal, and Regulatory.
• Leadership of cross-functional team or multiple teams in tailored R&D projects; Manage a R&D group of Direct Reports as needed; Challenge functional groups and external teams to meet project goals and commitments
• Can quickly identify areas of highest risk and keep team focused on those areas; Plan, Coordinate and Track Resource Allocation; Routine and Regular Communication & Reporting on Project; Regular Interaction with Sr. Management including Project presentations/Updates up to and including CEO
• Direct Participation in development of Contracts and Consulting Agreements; Identification and management of outside resources/vendors with focus on positive impact to project and schedule.
• Works with functional management to ensure that the best team structure and members are identified; Fosters teamwork; strives to maintain an environment of openness and trust
• Identifies key stakeholders and understands their expectations for a successful project

Job Qualification:

• 10+ years of successful demonstrated Software Development and Technology Development experience as R&D Manager; familiar with C/C++/Java with Window OS/Linux OS/IOS/Android OS etc system. Rich experience in Database and Communication System for Video/Audio Streaming.
• Leadership Experience and capability to lead internal and external functional team; Excellent interpersonal and influence management skills including evidence of managing multi-disciplined teams, conflict, resource constraints and problem solving.
• Experience managing complex software Programs. Exposure to customer development, technology development, would be preferred.
• Project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; able to understand technical information
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and Marketing to ensure that project scopes and requirements are clearly defined and executable. Must possess the communication and personal skills required to resolve ambiguous and conflicting requirements.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree above in Computer and Software related areas

Experience:

· Preferred: Telecom, Web2.0 application, Video/Audio Streaming, VoIP etc Industry, especially in medical informatics industry

· Preferred: Experience in entrepreneurial positions and knows how to get things done in a large company, successfully led a software project to market is preferred.

· Required: 10+ years Engineering or related experience and project/team leadership experience
