Role Summary
onsemi is seeking a results-driven, strategic-minded professional for the role of Strategic Technical Applications Specialist, with a focus on one of the following: Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Energy Infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating technical content and system-level go-to-market messaging for onsemi products and solutions under the leadership of the Global Strategic Technical Applications Manager. This technical content, system-level go-to-market messaging will fuel demand creation by working closely with business group leaders and product owners to accelerate the adoption of onsemi products and solutions with key and mass market customers.
You will have the opportunity to build relationships with, and influence stakeholders across the business, including Corporate Marketing, Business Units, Field Sales, Inside Sales, and global distribution partner organizations.
This role will be a part of the growing onsemi Marketing team. The team is passionate about data, storytelling, and winning customers' hearts and minds. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of global Marketers, Sales experts, and technologists. Responsibilities
? Plan and create strong technical and applications level content. You will focus on one of the following areas: Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Energy Infrastructure.
? Work with companywide experts to define onsemi’s total solution value proposition for applications within the chosen space.
? Work with the larger Corporate Marketing organization and other key stakeholders to generate:
? Key messaging and ownership of technical web content
? Direct Sales and Distributor/Channel Enablement via training content, playbooks, fighting guides, and competitive analysis
? Targeted digital content – Webinars, whitepapers, app notes, block diagrams, solution web pages, video content, etc.
? Work with the product teams to define products and go-to-market value propositions
? Bring system level expertise and market trends, identify product gaps, competitive positions and market needs for consideration by business groups for strategic new product development
? Actively participate in global team meetings, business planning sessions, quarterly review meetings. This will require regular meetings with business group leaders, subject-matter-experts, and corporate marketing team members in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Flexibility to be an active participant and willingness to collaborate will be a key requirement
Requirement:
? Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
? Familiarity with semiconductor components and electronics applications required
? Technical English
? Results-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
? Ability to travel infrequently both domestically and internationally
? Experience in similar roles or technical product marketing with a deep understanding of hardware product development is an advantage
