Position Summary:

Specializes in the procurement of a variety of items within a broad category components, assemblies and products. Executes commodity strategies, insures continuity of supply and resolves business issues. Manages purchasing (tactical) client interface in order to facilitate the implementation of procurements’ “Best Practices”.

Key Responsibilities:
1 Manages material and service requisitions
2 Executes defined sourcing strategies
3 Interfaces with suppliers in the following areas:
o Daily PO management, solve invoice issue etc.
o Root cause analysis/correction action
o Supplier performance data collection, supplier OTD performance improvement
o Supplier specific issues and trouble shooting
4 Reports to management on assigned tasks, projects or goals as required
5 Performs special assignments as requested.
6 Understand, supply/demand requirement
7 Implementation of contract agreements

Required Knowledge/Skills & Experience:
1 Prior purchasing or supply chain experience
2 Proficient in the use of SAP
3 Understanding and working knowledge of MRP and Kan Ban
4 Basic understanding of the manufacturing processes of assigned commodities
5 Strong PC skills
6 Demonstrates techniques to control inventory levels
7 Production planning
