Responsibilities:
1. Understand the design briefings sent from global markets under different classifications and brands, and able to translate the trend and needs to the vendors to source/develop products according to the briefing to meet QVC customer demands by offering the highest quality product at the best value possible.
2. Understand the product/material requirement and general test standard in the industry to guide vendors to submit sample and costing to QVC standard. Assist the Senior Sourcing Manager Home in delivering clear and concise product development directions to vendors directly as well as to overseas sourcing/PD partners and QA support team for all product development needs and requirements.
3. Participate in trips and manage follow ups with global buyer to the Fairs and factory location to source new product type/design/technique as well as new vendors.
4. Conduct sample and costing research to find suitable new vendors. Partner with overseas sourcing/PD partner and relevant internal teams to ensure seamless development processes are in place and maintained. Perform duties according to company policies and procedures with latitude for independent judgement and initiative.
5. Collaborate with global PD teams and QA team on product development and production to make sure products meet the need, quality, and price point for our proprietary brands.
6. Manage the buyer sample submission timely to global market development calendar, gate keeping the sample submissions to be approvable.
7. Risk control and communicate any potential production risk proactively with all relevant parties.
8. Negotiate price, delivery and approval of products samples are primary functions. Ensure quotation sheets from vendors are completed accurately and thoroughly. Detailed with special market information and insights.
9. Handle all the merchandising related documents.
10. Thoroughly check the test report against the QA sample, check the packing of the QA sample and complete the product specification card accurately and thoroughly. Draft sample instruction according to the production information and usage that vendor provided.
11. Provide solutions and support to ensure smooth production.
12. Travel to factory to check product newness, production status and quality when necessary.
13. Monitor and keep global market informed about the shipment and logistic once production T&A is confirmed.
14. Maintain day-to-day relationship with the vendor and communicate issues as they arise that can affect our business to the counter party in different markets as well as to Sourcing Director in DDGS Shanghai.
15. Update market information to global market merchandising partners.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
1. Above bachelor’s Degree. Fulent English(both oral&written).
2. 5 years of home product development and sourcing experiences.
3. Product development expertise and knowledge in Kitchen categories.
4. Knowledge of kitchen product sourcing and production.
