Our portfolio company is a privately held biotechnology company that is leveraging an innovative and proprietary tumor neoantigen discovery platform to efficiently develop cell therapies for multiple solid tumors. The Preclinical Cell Therapy Research team is seeking an experienced and driven scientific leader with a strong background in cancer and T cell biology to advance anti-tumor cell therapies. This position will lead efforts for development and optimization of TIL derived T cell therapy against hematological and solid malignancies. 

Responsibilities: ● Build a functional group focused on the development and optimization of engineering TIL derived T cells targeting identified neoantigens, including conceiving and developing novel in vitro assays/models to evaluate T cell functionality ● Foster the development of new programs in solid tumor or hematological malignancy indications, including identifying key mechanisms of therapeutic resistance in the tumor microenvironment. ● Provide mentorship and guidance for outlining studies to junior team members. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell or Cancer Biology, or a related field with 8+ years of experience. ● Prior experience in cell therapy preferred, though a track record of oncology drug discovery in other treatment modalities such as biologics or small molecules may also be valuable.
