JOB SUMMARY:
职位概述：
As a Business Development Manager, you will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help our business grow. Working predominantly in the industrial equipment sectors, you will open doors to new clients in need of precision manufacturing and assembly solutions. In addition, you will help identify new and innovative opportunities in growing business segments where Linamar can take an active role in the rapid scale-up and commercialization of new products, helping Linamar to diversify its business footprint.

RESPONSIBILITIES (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

  1. Seek out, characterize, meet and convert new clients into Linamar business
  2. Achieve growth and hit targets by successfully managing new business sales activities
  3. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the Company’s customer base and ensure its presence in new areas
  4. Build and promote effective, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  5. Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to management
  6. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  7. Identify and align with new innovations in need of manufacturing scale up and investment.

ACADEMIC / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field – also consider broader university degree to including engineering degrees


REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  1. Extensive previous experience (+10years) as a Sales Representative, Sales Manager or Business Development Manager in any Industrial sector, consistently meeting or exceeding targets, focused on new business opportunities and able to work dynamically across multiple industries
  2. Have the ability to see the potential of innovations and startup companies
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  4. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  5. Strong business sense and acumen
  6. Internationally experienced with MNC clients
  7. Basic financial knowledge and ability to create business case
  8. Focused new business hunter mentality backed up by highly professional and considered approach
  9. Able to travel extensively in Asia
