Purpose of the position:

  

As part of the product development, the technical leader is responsible for:

  

• the definition and control of work packages Engineering: Cost, quality, Timing and Safety. 

• the technical solution selection and approval of the product i.e. responsible for the functional design, the physical design and the validation of the product, in a project organization.

  In the framework of a preliminary project or quotation phase, the technical leader is responsible for the technical offer (technical, engineering quote, project planning) for the engineering scope.

  Technical Management

  Project focus :

  Leads the functional and physical design studies of the product by searching the best compromise for the project.

  Approves and implements the strategy for verifying, validating and certifying the product with the best compromise between the different skills.

  Provides technical status to milestones

  Function focus :

  Applies skills methodology, best practices, captures field feedback shared within engineering teams.

  Participates in the development of technical roadmaps.

  
  

  Project management

  
  

  Manage the QCD, the risks and opportunities of Engineering workpackages

  Manage the internal technical meetings.

  Plans and coordinates the activities and resources of the project development Engineering team in accordance with the constraints defined with the Project Manager.

  Performs the reporting of the engineering activities to the program manager and internal engineering

  Participates in the update of the product's recurrent cost estimate.

  Contract management

  Negotiates the product interface, technical requirements and validation requirements associated with the customer needs.

  Animates the technical meetings with the Client.

  Required Skills

  Excellent communication skills and reporting

  Excellent team spirit, positive and proactive attitude.

  5 years of experience in technical project management

  Multidisciplinary technical knowledge (System, mechanics, electrotechnical, electrical, electronics, software...)

  Fluent English

  MS Project Mastery

  Electrical background is preferred
