About the role

RT Iron Ore has launched portside trading business through a new WOFE in China and we are looking for a Finance Analyst – Port Sales, to support our new adventure!

This role is a full time position, based in Shanghai, reporting to Finance Manager China on a day to day basis.

The main focus of the role is to deal with overall finance and accounting work in support of our port sales.

This role is a great opportunity for a growing finance professional who is interested in a growing setup in an exciting role that will support the success of our portside operations and business outcomes!

Reporting to the Specialist Port Sales - Finance, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

General/Cost Accounting

Perform general/cost accounting activities including but not restricted to:

• Consolidation of financial statements for different entities, product groups and reporting units
• Prepare and review intercompany recharge
• Preparation and reconciliation of ledger accounts
• Maintain and reconcile inventory movements and costs
• Month-end closing support

Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and balances

Prepare ad-hoc reports for different group functional teams (e.g. FBP, Tax and Treasury)

Supports and manage daily cash/bank functions

Tax Reporting and Compliance

• Maintain tax calculation and reconciles tax balance
• Support tax filing and transfer price document preparation
• Ensure a compliant and adequate implementation of the tax strategy

Others

• Assist internal/external audit
• Assist relationship management of external stakeholders
• Prepare relevant reports to external authorities
• Support Finance Manager and management for other duties as required

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Relevant accounting qualifications (ACCA / CPA)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience a multinational company 
• Strong experience with preparation of statutory accounts.
• Experience in tax filing
• Demonstrated experience in working through a networked organisation to achieve results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Can-do attitude and a self-starter
• Strong command of English language, verbal and written.
