Developing quality concepts in the product development process

• Analysis of legal and regulatory requirements, industry, customer and product-specific requirements as well as quality targets
• Cooperate in the project team as quality lead during product development phase, responsible to create quality plans for the phase-specific execution processes (requirements for product and process development) and other quality relevant tasks
• The Product Quality Engineer is authorized to stop project definitions in case quality requirements are disregarded
• Contribute to the implementation of design and process FMEA
• Create quality related documents (Quality control plan, inspection instruction, SPC, MSA, etc.)
• Communicate regularly on the quality status during project phases
• Capture learning’s from previous projects and initiate improvements in the current/new projects

Participate in the validation and verification of products and processes in the different product development phases

• Contribute to the qualification of manufacturing equipment, tools, testing and monitoring equipment, processes and products
• Contribute to the qualification of the logistics (packing and transportation) concept in cooperation with the responsible R&D engineer, logistic and warehouse department

Release products and processes for series production

• Assess quality-relevant product characteristics and process capability
• Participate in the initial sampling and release of the first samples
• Assuring that all customer, product safety, compliance and regulatory requirements are fully fulfilled

Adapting existing quality concepts in the product life cycle

• Support LCM activities and process ECR from quality side

Continuous quality improvement

• Handle quality issues (internal, supplier and customer side) during project phase and when major issues during series production happens and lead problem solving activities
• Participate in the planning of measures to improve and assess the effectiveness of improvement activities
• Create quality statistics, analyses and improvement actions status report

Customer service

• Participate in customer quality programs
• Conduct quality discussions including preparation, documentation and definition of derived measures and create quality reports for customers
• Analyze the quality situation of customer side and in field
• Handle customer complaints and initiate improvement measures with internal cross-function teams and customer on demand
• Participate in process audit, product audit and customer audit
