THE ROLE
As our Business Solutions Manager you will be responsible for all business solutions activities within the sub-region, managing all presales resources and accountable for costs and expenses for this group. Key activities will be to develop and implement Greater China BSG (Business Solutions Group) strategy, including coverage for all BSG (presales) services/ obligations to current and prospective clients and partners (where applicable), to engage and enable sales force and effectively deploy BSG resource to optimize utilization, quality and successful demo. The Business Solution Manager is also responsible to equip, coach and develop the BSG team and to strengthen TEMENOS business and technical capabilities within the sub-region.
We are looking for and individual who possesses in-depth business intelligence, trends and gaps within the market segment and has excellent commercial acumen and product/ territory expertise both in breadth and depth to articulate compelling value propositions, execute competitive business solutions strategy to increase sales opportunities and closure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake business consultancy activities with prospects to understand the business needs and drivers for change and position TEMENOS’ solutions.
- Support the sales team in the qualification of a solution fit for a bank’s requirements
- Responsible for professional RFP/RFI responses:
- Having a detailed knowledge of the functionality and technology of the product range.
- Ensuring that all materials such as presentations and demonstrations are maintained up to dateBuild on banking knowledge and product knowledge to support and deliver excellent:
- Presentations to clients and prospects Demonstrations (including creation of product data used to demo product capability)
- Accountable for developing and implementing mid-long term sub-region BSG strategy, control of approved budget and motivate and steer the BSG team to deliver BSG support leveraging TEMENOS product and service offerings to maximize compatibility/feasibility towards prospective/current clients.
- Leading the team to ensure that TEMENOS product/services offering are introduced and demonstrated with comprehensive coverage on functionality, performance, system architecture, system requirements, recommend system solutions that ensure the optimum usage and utilization of TEMENOS products and services.
- Pro-actively engaging with GC sales team, Marketing, Product Strategy, Development, etc. to optimize and leverage any product/market/sales capabilities.
- Ensuring the optimum achievement against set targets within the given time and budgeting constraints.
- Works independently and in collaborative manner.
- Ability to provide quality subject matter insights, advice, value proposition, and recommendation to BSG Director and Regional Management team.
- Perform competition analysis with respect to strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and threats.
- Understand competitor’s landscape and ascertain strategy and business case to ensure TEMENOS is at the leading edge of the market competition.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Min 15 years of relevant working experience in a Bank or a banking solutions vendor environment.
- Min Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent; MBA.
- Industry Knowledge about Banking and Financial Services in the Retail/Corporate/Universal/Digital Banking domain for China/Taiwan/HK markets.
- Hands-on Knowledge on International Core banking solutions for Retail/Corporate/Universal Banking.
- Knowledge of Treasury and/or Private Wealth Management would be an added advantage.Up-to-date knowledge about the banking business and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in spoken/written Mandarin.
- Experience in a solution / presales role with other banking solution providers, an operational role in a bank or in a consulting environment.
- Experience in a front-end client facing role is a must.Willing to travel on a frequent basis.
