Yangtze River Delta Center Assistant
Base of work in the Suzhou Industrial Park (苏州工业园区)
? Occasional travel to Shanghai, and cities in Jiangsu and Zhejiang province.
Direct Supervisor: Program Manager, Yangtze River Delta Center
The AmCham Shanghai Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Center, located in Suzhou, promotes Chamber services and programs to YRD members and American businesses in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. The YRD Center strives to be the central regional networking and business information exchange platform among American businesses, the local Chinese government in the YRD and the U.S. government.

Main Office Duties and Responsibilities
? Coordinate department calendar of programs, and internal/external meetings
? Assist in daily business development and marketing tasks and projects
? Generate and maintain regular internal reporting mechanisms on membership and programming
? Manage office traffic and answer client inquiries
? Provide on-site programming assistance, including registration, cash collection, and event support
? Support YRD member communications
Selection Criteria:
? Native Mandarin Chinese speaker; Fluent in English
? Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange and other related programs, graphic design aptitude and internet literacy a plus.
? Past work experience in hospitality, customer service, event management, or marketing preferred.
? Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Business, Communications, or related discipline
? Creative ability to introduce new ideas, demonstrates enthusiastic attitudes in working with people and anticipate needs in various situations, experience working in teams
