·       Source new products with existing or new suppliers assuring cost and quality goals are achieved.

·       Recommend and develop new suppliers as required to assure Dukal has the lowest cost supply base while achieving quality goals.

·       Manage the flow of technical information between Marketing and our suppliers to assure:

a.    Suppliers have the manufacturing processes capable of meeting quality specifications, cost goals and throughput volume.

b.    Drawings and specifications are managed through document control procedures.

c.     Samples meet marketing requirements and are provided in a timely manner.

d.    A timely response back to Marketing on pricing, delivery, specifications and cost.

·       Assist and travel with our customers to visit suppliers.  Facilitate supplier meetings and lead negotiations to assure all issues are communicated and objectives achieved.

·       Manage open orders with suppliers to assure product is delivered on time.  Interface with customer service and purchasing on new orders and all delays in production.

·       Work with the suppliers on lead-times and production delays.  Develop work around solutions with suppliers to maintain schedules.  Communicate all delays with purchasing and management. Work with customs broker, if necessary -to resolve shipping issues.

·       Assist in managing product quality. Support the Quality Assurance function as required in performing audits of both the product and process to assure quality standards are met and are in compliance with Federal and Foreign Regulations governing product/shipments. Assist to manage CAPA process with the supplier and interface with headquarters QA for complaints for vendors outside China.  Ensures applicable testing is performed by the supplier at defined intervals; Create the current product specifications

·       Manage product cost.  Review all price increases with the supplier and negotiate to achieve the lowest impact on the business.  Communicate price increases to purchasing and management in a timely and concise manner.

·       Work with Marketing and suppliers to cut costs, improve quality, reduce risk and improve customer satisfaction.
 Participate in the appropriate internal meetings and business processes to ensure that the supplier relations programs are well aligned with other departments and are supporting company and customer expectations.

·       Work with artwork department and vendors on package artwork, press proof and labels.
