Job title: Assistant Merchandiser

For our team in Shanghai we are looking for a young, motivated, and committed reinforcement in the area of sourcing.

Major responsibilities:

·        Ensure appropriate and timely follow up of the assigned sourcing tasks

·        Track costing and sample status and monitor completion timeline

·        Compile and consolidate sample and costing for comparison

·        Assist to direct product specs to the right supplier

·        Compile and consolidate performance data of each supplier on a regular basis.  

·        Support price negotiation and communicate with colleagues in Germany

·        Buy trip preparation: Supplier meeting, factory visit, sample collection, trip schedule and transportation arrangement

·        Report to superiors

Education

Bachelor degree, English or international trading majors preferred

Skills

·        Open-minded and self-motivated.

·        Excellent communication skills.

·        Able to work independently and good team player as well

·        Good organizational skills and strong attention to details

·        Hard working and able to take multiple tasks

Language

·        Sufficient English (Reading/Writing/Speaking)

·        Knowledge of German will be an advantage

Knowledge

• Good PC skills, especially Excel and PPT
